Parousia Symbol

This fixed Parousia symbol is perfect for use during the Blue Strip, Gifts of God, among other Catechesis of the Good Shepherd works. When we struggle for words symbols assist us and this concretizes the ineffable universal and eternal nature of this gift.

The globe is two sided (western and eastern hemispheres) and has a cross for each side. This Parousia symbol is designed to be static. Once assembled, the crosses are attached permanently to the globe.

The crosses are two sided – plain and the interlocking cross lattice that is seen in traditional Eastern crosses.* You choose the simple or more complex design to show.

* The interlocking latticework is used consistently in their designs to represent life everlasting.

This materials arrives to you disassembled for ease of painting or sealing (instructions included).

Materials: Birch wood
Small Size:
Globe is 2.75″ diameter and the finished height is just under 3″.
Cross is 3″ wide and the finished height is just over 3″.

Large Size:
Globe is 5.5″ diameter and the finished height is 6″.
Cross is 5.65″ wide and the finished height is 6″.

Note:
THIS MATERIAL COMES TO YOU UNFINISHED.
Instructions are provided for sealing the wood with beeswax.

Painting or waxing is recommended.

Once your finishing is complete, a small amount of wood glue will hold them it securely together. (Instructions are provided.)

Because each piece of wood is unique, the product you receive may vary slightly from what is shown.

There may be a slight smell of burnt wood from the laser process.
