Infancy Narratives Individual Dioramas (3-6, 6-9)

$25.00

Assist your child as they ponder the Mystery of the Incarnation with an infancy diorama. This material is designed for children ages 3-9 (ages of CGS Levels 1 and 2) and is helpful as the child revisits the infancy narratives. (We sell full sets at a different listing.)

The diorama comes to you sanded but unpainted so you can paint it how little or much you feel is appropriate for your ages. You provide your own figures.

1. Annunciation with a notched opening in the lid for the Holy Spirit's flame/dove (included) and table.
2. Visitation Diorama including a courtyard. Small wooden cradle included.
3. Birth and Shepherd's Adoration Diorama including a small wooden trough.
4. Adoration by the Magi Diorama with a notched opening in the lid, table, and comet.
5. Presentation box with steps and temple gateway with doors.
6. Flight into Egypt triptych with Egypt/Bethlehem sign in its storage box.

There is an option to choose a storage box with book holder. The box comes with a flat lid, 2 handles, and a small "pouch" for the narrative book to slide in and be seen by the child. This keeps everything in one place. Each boxes fits inside the diorama for additional end of the year storage.

Each diorama comes disassembled (there is an option for assembly) and you assemble them with the provided instructions.

Your diorama's accessory (cradle, tables, trough, sign, and Temple gates) comes assembled but unpainted. There are purpose made slots in the top of the Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi dioramas for you to insert the included Holy Spirit flame/dove and Comet. The Temple gate is stored in a box. The gate and the steps fit inside and make quite an impression when they are revealed to the child.

You provide your own figures. (We use painted peg people for ours.)

NOTE: The disparity in price between assembled and flat packed is due to the "oversized" fee that is charged by USPS for the assembled dioramas.

We designed these materials to easily be able sit on a standard 8 inch deep x 10 inch high bookshelf. Each is also designed to be carried by the child (or you) using the two window/handholds on either end. All are standard sized and each comes with a lid for easy storage. (We've had mobile atria in the past and this helps quite a bit.)

Each box comes with an etched icon on one end and the top to help make the work more easily identified. So, in a small atrium, the boxes can sit with the end visible and the icon helps guide the child's choice.

Included:
Assembled lid and flat packed sides and base for each narrative (unpainted, unsealed)
Assembled step, temple gate frame, tables, crib/manger, star, Holy Spirit, sign (sized for 5 inch people figures)
Instructions/suggestions for assembly, painting and sealing
Not included: figures, hinges/book binding tape for Temple gates

Diorama Size:
diorama box: 8 deep x 8 tall x 12 long
diorama lid: 8.25 x .75 x 12.25

Materials:
Wood: Sustainably sourced birch or poplar
Handmade, Laser cut
There may be a slight smell of burnt wood from the laser cutting process.
