Holy Land in the Time of Jesus Puzzle (3-6)

This puzzles will encourage your child to recognize Jesus as a historic person living in a historic place. This material grows with your child and is appropriate for the 3 to 6 year old. The puzzle pieces represent the four main ethnic and political regions of the Holy Land in the time ofJesus.

You can draw a dot or paint a symbol for each of the three primary cities in Jesus' life on the map to help the child recognize the most important places in the life of Jesus.

NOTE: We have updated the map based on observation: 1. We now have a removable Mediterranean Sea so the children can create the shoreline with less stress. 2. The Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, and Dead Sea are all individual pieces. This was due to frustration expressed during the "Which One did I Take Away" game used to assist in reaching the third period of the lesson. There are a total of eight puzzle pieces.

The child can make their own map by tracing the puzzle pieces - just like the Montessori puzzle maps.

To aid in learning, you receive an 11 x 17" pdf which you can print and use as a control map. If you would like, you may add a durable cloth control map to your order. Additionally, if you would like the larger cloth wall map (36 x 24"), there is an option to add this to your order.

This material is designed to be used in a CGS Level 1 Atrium. No lessons or nomenclature cards included. However, the material follows the latest, simplified, agreed upon archaeological evidence and differs slightly from the historic CGS map.

Washable heavy-weight cotton printed with vegetable-based dye. Simple iron fusing assembly and care instructions are included

Wood Note:
This material is disassembled for easy of painting or waxing. There are precut holes for the included peg knobs. Once your finishing is complete, a small amount of wood glue will hold them in.

Instructions are provided for sealing the wood with beeswax and inserting the peg knobs.

There may be a slight smell of burnt wood from the laser process.

Cloth Note:
Directions for hemming and seaming (with a sewing machine or using hemming tape) are included.

Dotted lines provide easy guides when cutting and finishing.
